Duane Whitmer - Chair


Duane Whitmer is the Chair of the Erie County Libertaran Party. He is a small business owner in Hamburg, NY. Duane was born and raised in Franklinville, NY. After high school, he attended and graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2009 with a degree in Accounting. 

Professionally, his accounting experience began while working at a public accounting firm in 2010. He continued to gain experience in private accounting and at the age of 25 decided to begin his own business DJW Financial Services, now known as Whitmer Accounting and Tax. Duane takes pride in helping businesses that are start ups, assisting through the red tape and bureaucracy.

In 2019, he was elected Chair of the Erie County Libertarian Party and also serves on the Interim State Committee of the Libertarian Party of New York. In 2020, he is running for Congress in New York’s 27th Congressional District.

Nathaniel Cole - Vice Chair


Nathaniel Cole is the Vice Chair of the Erie County Libertarian Party. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York and 23 years old, Nathaniel joined the Libertarian Party in 2016. He found out he was Libertarian his senior year of high school when he took the political compass quiz in his Participation in Government class. He works as full time Security Guard and is also a husband and stay-at-home father. He is a Classical Liberal style Libertarian and his top three policies are ending the drug war, reforming the criminal Justice system from the ground up including ending the felony system, and getting our troops out of the Middle East and other foreign countries and ending all the wars for which we are involved.

Erin Becker - Secretary


Erin Becker is the Secretary of the Erie County Libertaran Party. She is a speech-language pathologist and works with children who have developmental disabilities. She was raised with Libertarian ideals and have been a registered Libertarian since she was 18. She has been active in the Monroe and Erie county chapters for all of her adult life and has been to two national conventions.  She looks forward to growing the party and fighting for our freedoms.

Mitch Trzaska - Treasurer


Mitch Trzaska is the Treasurer of the Erie County Libertaran Party. He graduated High School with an Advanced Regents Diploma from Starpoint Central School and then went on to get a Bachelors in Accounting from Canisius College where he graduated in 2013. From there, he went on to start his career in the healthcare industry as a financial analyst for a Nursing Home company. After a year, he moved on to become a financial analyst for the largest healthcare company in Western New York, which is where he has worked the last five years. In 2015, he also started his own tax business, Trzaska Tax Services, LLC focused on providing a cheaper alternative for the individual tax payer, as that is all he focuses on in the
business are personal returns. He grew up in the in the north towns in the small town of Sanborn. As a kid, he used to going hunting and fishing and play baseball. As a Libertarian, he would like to see the government scaled down to just necessities and help those who truly need help. He believes that more freedom to the people so they can do what they want when they went is the overall goal.
